This semester I'm taking a course called Motion Graphics, and it's been such a time consuming, tedious thing. I've had to learn a new program and use my brain in a completely different way than I'm used to. Thinking about movement and 3D space with graphics is something I'm not familiar with so it's been a challenge. I appreciate that I now have some experience in this field of design, but boy is it hard work!

On Friday, we had to turn in our second project - an opening title sequence to a novel that hasn't been made yet into a movie. After 5 weeks of work, here it is!

The night before it was due, I asked my mom and sister to come watch it and see what their opinions on it were. My sister is a film major so I thought she might be interested... but I was wrong. Both of them gave me looks like "...okay?" and my sister was going into things that I couldn't even accomplish with only so many hours to go. It made me so nervous and I couldn't help but wonder if my class would react the same way.

Luckily, when I presented in class my classmates liked it. Last night my BFA group met up for the first time to get to know each other, and my friends complemented me on it. One of them told me she was so happy I came so she could tell me how much she loved it. Oh my gawwwwwd. It just made my weekend.

We spent the night drinking margaritas and beer, playing apples to apples, talking shit about crap teachers we had, and playing wii. Not everyone showed up, but those of who did had a really good time. Everyone is so fun!
